Chapter 19 Questions:
1. Describe Farid’s family. How come he only has five children now?

2. How does Amir feel about being in Afghanistan? What is the taxi driver’s response? What does he say about Amir that is true? Why is he so offended?

3. How is Wahid’s opinion of Amir different from that of Farid’s?

4. What does Farid say to Amir before they go to bed? How has his tone changed? Why?

5. What does Amir dream? How is this different from what really happens? Why do you think he is dreaming this?

Vocabulary Study Cards / Unit I

Complete study cards for all 20 words listed on the packet handed out in class.

On the front of the card, write:
- The word (spelled out correctly and clearly)
- The part(s) of speech
- A visual representation of the meaning of the word (draw a picture to help you remember the meaning!)
- Your name, period, due date, period you have English
- The number that corresponds to the word

On the back of the card, write:
- the definition, as it is presented on the packet
- an original sentence (use the given sentence as a model, but do not copy it)
- synonyms listed (if any)
- anytonyms listed (if any)
